Lack of mudguard fixings though, the search goes onThe PX bike is £1200
Do you really want to fix mudguards to a carbon frame?! After all, it will melt in the rain making the mudguards a moot pointLack of mudguard fixings though, the search goes on![]()
Carbon about a kiloYou can have two out of three for £1000 if you shop around but hen's teeth are more common than bikes that match your criteria.
So... what weight do you place on each criterion?
Whyte...Not even too many options for alloy disc braked road bikes under £1k (though a few more on the way I guess)
Thanks, I'll have a look at them, When you say they take guards, are you referring to race blades?Off the top of my head, I can think of the Trek Domane, Orbea Avant and the GT Grade that are carbon, disc and take mudguards.
All of them are way over your budget.
I have an On-One Dirty Disco and I use Race-Blades when it's raining/going to rain. They go on and off very quickly.
You won't get even a Disco within your budget unless you already have some parts to go on it.
It's a great bike IMO; it's my favourite from the fleet.
As others have said, you're going to have to compromise somewhere:- carbon, discs, mud-guards, £1000.
.
Which counts as not manyWhyte...
