Carbon Frame Protector

Well I only got my new bike since two weeks, used it twice and it already has a chip on the underside of the down tube

So I was thinking of getting a carbon fiber guard to protect from further damage, but look at the price  !!!!

So then I found this instead and was wondering it would offer me just as good protection, or would it just chip under the sticker?

Touch Up pen. MTB's are going to get chips. Other option is clear helicopter tape.

Helicopter tape is what you want. You should have some already at the cable rub points. Do you have a road bike or mtb? I've never bothered with frame tape anywhere other than on the cable rub points on my road bikes.

Better to buy something like this and cut it yourself. Cable rub points are anywhere the cable touches the frame when you turn the bars. It should be quite obvious where they are if you look at your bike. I also use helicopter tape on the chainstay to protect it from chain knocks.

B&Q also do a thick clear vinyl packing tape which is almost as good as helicopter tape (not quite as thick/long lasting). The LBS put me onto it instead of frame protectors. A bloody big roll is about £5 and I recon it will last me years.
