I've just bought a Verenti Millook which has carbon forks and stays. I am of the understanding that full carbon bike frames have a limited life (unlike metal bike frames)....is this accurate and to what extent does it apply to a 'part' carbon frame such as mine?

The modern Carbon frames, will last as long as any metal counterpart, unless they are subjected to shocks / crashes, and clamped by the frame rather than the seat post, when on a work stand. The metal framed bikes are just as likely to fail, but due to warping / bending / corroding. It's horses for courses. The Carbon dropouts on your bike are there to make the bike more responsive / lighter, and to make the riding experience more pleasant.
