Get what is shiny and REALLY expensive. If there are gizmos on it that you won't ever use then the purchase is even more appropriate
Have a similar problem...a guy at work is willing to sell me a Kuota carbon bike for £400 but not sure if it'll make a big difference over my Triban 3 or whether I just have n+1 syndrome!!!
Most likely none, as all that money you will 'save' will be spent on bikes and kit. All good fun though.still working out how much fuel money i am going to be saving by commuting
Don't think of it that way! Just consider the savings on your medical bills when the cycling makes you ridiculously fit! It worked well enough for me: I haven't taken sick leave from work in over 4 years*.
