I'm replacing the brake blocks on my no.1 road bike, which has alloy wheels, and have realised that the only replacement blocks I have are meant for carbon rims.
Will using brake blocked designed for carbon on alloy rims cause any problems or be less efficient than blocks specifically designed for aluminium?
(the mistake was mine, in ordering the wrong blocks - Shimano R55C3 (carbon) instead of R55C4 (alloy). FWIW I think I already have a pair of them on an alloy wheel on road bike no.2 and have not so far noticed any difficulties).
