That looks neat. Can you open the boot with the bike in place?

How do you clamp a Carbon bike? I have thought of putting mine in the middle and not clamping it just use the wheel wraps and maybe a bungee tie between it and the other two bikes.

I just do the clamp up on the top tube, not too tightly, it is just to stop it falling over, the bike is really held down by the straps on the wheel supports, do those up tight and the bike won't move much and won't need a tight grip around any tube.

Interesting thread - would have never occured to me about the intricacies of transporting a carbon frame around. Thankfully I have an aluminium frame as I am too tight to buy a carbon one

I've sometimes thought (for probably 10 seconds-usually when I am propping the bike on the roof rack) why there isn't a roof rack that means the bike sits flat on the roof. That would solve some of the issues, not just the carbon issue, but also about low bridges etc.
