Right, let's see if this works...
Hopefully attached to this post is a gpx file of the route. It follows the old FNRttC route but makes a detour to the 24 hour McDonald's in Bridgend. Not quite a fair swap for Ogmore-By-Sea but it does have the advantage of being open.

And, true to form, the Met Office now shows rain for the second half of the night. 
This is why I ignore weather forecasts until a couple of days beforehand! It might be wise to pack a spare pair of dry socks...
