@theclaud mentioned organising a ride from Abergavenny, if memory serves although she is does talk a load of old cobblers sometimes especially when she's had 5 pints of pish in the Grott Arms.

Yeah ! She'll drink virtually anything . . . . . . . whilst scoffing cake with both hands ! ^_^

I'd be up for another ride given enough notice. I've hardly been on the bike this last few months as I've been concentrating on running, but providing the distance is not too big I'd love to catch up with you all again.

Me too ! . . . . . . . even though I've cycled just twice this year, a grand total of 30 miles ! ^_^

When is one of you Welsh nobbers ( @lukesdad @Banjo ) going to get something organised ?

. . . . . . . preferably in Mid Wales ; preferably no more that 60 - 70 miles & preferably with a few more pub stops ?

Im sure that @Cheshire Celt, @Crackle would be interested . . . . . . . we could even invite some of the southern softies, such as @rich p

C'mon you guys, time to get something sorted, Summer will be over at this rate . . .

Earliest I could do anything would be September but I think rich mentioned Claudine might be organising something for then ?

Nice one, I am actually riding a bit now 'cos I've sprained my ankle and can't run. 40 Miles is still plenty for me though.

40 Miles is still plenty for me though.

What about a nice round 50 or preferably 60 miler ? That way, we can entice Rich up North & we still have plenty of time for a drink.

As for the "40 Miles is still plenty for me" that's just bollards . . . . . . . I know that you are well capable of 50 or 60 miles, even if you don't.

I've genuinely cycled just twice this year, but I know I can knock out 50 or 60 if required . . . . . . . admittedly, I'll require some help from Arthur Guinness ^_^ . . . . . . . and if I can do it, you most certainly can.

I saw you 'going like the clappers', on the last section of the Llandovery ride . . . . . . . Crackle, TMN & I, couldn't see you for dust. I think you were on your third pint, by the time I finished. (But on the next ride that you do, just make sure that you've no family functions to attend ).

@RichP, you'd be welcome to crash at my pad if you wish - same goes for @lukesdad, @Banjo and anyone else who may require lodgings. I'll even get some Prosecco in, just in case @dellzeqq decides to venture to the hinterlands. If you're lucky, I'll even provide some Fairtrade Pork Scratchings and some cashew nuts. ^_^

There's a challenge for you Dell, get up here and you can bring @User1314 with you; you'll see some real culture . . . . . . . nearby Oswestry now has a BurgerKing & a KFC. We'll put you up & I sure that you'd find it to be an enlightening experience . . . . . . . especially after a trip to the local pub - it has a micro-brewery attached and is only 200 yards away. Even better, bring my old chum @srw; I'll ensure that the local jukebox is playing some 15th Century dirges choral music.

Earliest I could do anything would be September but I think rich mentioned Claudine might be organising something for then ?

September ? I should be able to get a 10 or 15 mile training ride in before then ^_^.

@theclaud , hurry up and get something sorted . . . . . .

Seems like there's a whiff of a plan in the air:smile:

Well, as long as you don't back out of any planned ride !

You know that you can cycle 20 miles and 60 miles is only 20 miles more than your 40 mile 'maximum' . . . . . . . ergo, you can manage 60 miles. On the Llandovery ride, you were like a man possessed - you (quickly) vanished entirely out of sight.

40 Miles is still plenty for me though.

Yeah, right !
