According to her post upthread, the boss decided on Newport.
The idea was to make it possible to get there in the morning. Abergavenny is nicer but it costs a lot more to get there and there are two poxy bike spaces per train...

I agree.Sorry I missed that.
I think a new thread should be started for this ride incase anyone hasnt noticed this extension of the old afterwork ride thread.
Nasty, hope you ve fully recovered. I fell out of the kids trampoline couple of days ago, out cold for 5 mins apparently. Needless to say beer had something to do with it !Hi guys been away for a while had a nasty fall from a roof at work keeping me off the bike for a while I have however completed the c2c a few weeks ago. Can some one fill me in on what's planned cheers guys
Can you give it a slightly bigger bumpLittle bump. B&B sorted for Thursday night, train tickets booked (return not till 1944, so no problem if we return to Newport a bit later than planned).

Labuan House, mile or so from the station. Not much more expensive than the Ibis Budget with the added bonus of not being on an industrial estate right by the M4Where you booked in, Stu?
Great. You coming from home in the morning? I will get the route sorted this weekend.I'm in!

I'm hoping to indulge in a few post ride milk shakes as well if anyone is staying on. If the cafes are shut I suppose we could go to the pub :-)Yup. Looking at train times, I can get in to Newport from 0746 onwards so I should be able to fit in with whatever you're planning. Happily, return trains run late enough for me to indulge in some post-ride malted energy drinks.
