Hi Shaun
My name is Richie, I have been commuting to work for a few years now , and back last year decided to get myself a road bike, it was a carerra zelos 7 for halfords, all I could afford at the time, but the problem is I just cannot seem to get on with it , I can feel every small stone ,and when I get off I cannot stand straight for a bit , grrrr. I also have a 29inch cannondale mountain bike, of which I feel is quicker and more comfortable, is there anything I can do ,or have I just bought a cheap bike ?????
By the way I am 48 ,run 3times a week and would love to meet up and ride with like minded people , live Barry S.Wales
Cheers
Richie

@richieboy cheap bike or not you should be able to get comfy easily unless its the wrong size then it gets harder

can you set both saddles and bars at roughly the same height ?

The Zelos forks are hi-ten steel, pretty basic and very straight, like my old Raleigh Chimera, that could be very jarring on rough surfaces, there's no absorbtion of buzz etc.
Gel bartape can help,
