Frame now being rubbed down. Ill most probably use and oxalic acid solution for some of the bits like stays and BB shell...

Forks stripped and just need wire brushing down. These will go for re-chroming...

Frame back from Universal Cycle Centre in Maltby, yesterday... I did a rough build of the bike before the frame went off and will dig out those pictures. I decided to really add zing to the frame with a much stronger blue and red...

More soon!

A thin white line would be nice to accentuate those lovely lugs! (lug lining pens are cheap as chips) :becool:

Frame looks a hell of a lot better than before. More patience than me, I would have just had it shotblasted, not rubbed my fingers sore getting that lot off. :eek:
Probably had been some sort of beater/commuting hack for years previously for the frame to get into such a shabby state. I like the colour co-ordinated mudguards, very much a feature of an era. You don't see those anymore even on very expensive frames.
