finally fixed up a previously fixed wheel conversion of a '58 Carlton back to a geared bike using, barring consumables, parts that were spare; the groupset was originally on the carrera just to its left.

no end of bodging, and made the schoolboy error of using the existing bottom bracket, with the result that it won't change at the front, and only about 5 gears work at the back.

not ridden it yet, but will at the weekend.

Haha, another yellow handlebar taped bicycle. Is this a new trend?.

Love that colour of the bicycle :-)

it says F596 underneath. it has campag rear dropouts if that helps with dates, and an oval logo stamped onto the bottom bracket. the paint job is not the original, nor are the carlton decals. the rear seat stays wrap right around the top tube at a constant thickness, not tapering near the bend as i've seen on other carltons.

it is definitely a carlton though; it's got the head badge rivetted onto the head tube…
