I've just sold one Of these in vgc. It took an age to sell and i only got £60. It even had the original handbook and Bill of sale. It was sold in 84

Dont know its value but i do know you will get a far higher price for the Carlton if you can post as you would be advertising it to a much larger market.

Strip it down to a frame and put the magic word 'Fixie' in the advert, along with Carlton.

Although scruffy, I'd agree £30 is a reasonable minimum expectation. I'd be happy to pay that much. You've just got to perservere with it and re-list. The problem is most roadies today just aren't interested in old vintage steel bikes, as they are apparently far too "heavy" for the poor things to handle and carry around. That just leaves the sort of nutters who frequent this section of the Forum that appreciates them, but location is everything.
