I just had to get this saddle for the Carlton, it was new on Ebay for £15. Made in India.

I had to pull the rails inwards with cable ties, so it would fit a modern seat post.

You'll have to report back on what the comfort is like compared to regular modern saddles. I quite like the old-school look, but they are probably more in keeping on a flat bar roadster. It overwhelms your micro saddlebag though, you need a bigger one now!

Initial thoughts, after a short ride:

It's very bouncy compared to my usual saddles and very upright, so not for bikes with low handle bars and high Seatposts.

There is no front adjustment, so it can't be stretched like all of the other leather saddles I've had.

The sides are a bit flappy, probably due to my excess weight.

For an interesting tool bag, I'm looking at one of these 1950/60's French Army Surplus leather Ammo Pouches.
Size 19.5 x 13 x 4cm.

Those big chrome rings remind me of the vending machines in sports centres that dispense choc, crisps and other 'sporty' foods. You could probably store a whole pack of biscuits in the rear one^_^.
