Carrera Carbon !!!! you can get carbon on C2w

Halfords have now got a carbon bike for £999, just qualifying for C2W scheme, if carbon is your thing and you can get over brand snobbery then this looks a really good deal ...

Personally i would go for the boardman at the same price as i think a good aluminium frame + better components that come together as a lighter , better package but if you want carbon then it looks a good deal .I must add i am more of a metal frame person and i would be going titanium if i had the sort of money that would allow me to get N+1+1 +1 ...call me old fashioned but thats how my gut feels.Heck every time i ride with a carbon fork i keep checking it even though i know they are strong etc etc .

Just a side note, anyone noticed how Halfords prices have gone up?

My Boardman cost me £799 in July and now its £899 and the carrera virtuoso has gone up a lot as well, anyone would think its christmas and they are cashing in

£999 isn't the ceiling for C2W, it's only the ceiling if your employer doesn't have a consumer credit licence and if your LBS won't allow you to top up.

Planet X Pro Carbon is still £999.

Nice i meant purely from the C2W that runs through Halfords and what they can buy in , maybe i should have stated that and i based the price limit on how most schemes work

I noticed this too. Our C2W starts again from 1 Jan. I'm still considering selling my current bike and this may seal the decision form me.

It's an almost identical bike to the Boardman Carbon which I think is up at £1200.

The bikes the same but the boardman gets better wheels, 105 brake calipers and better finishing kit like saddle, carbon seat post etc etc , mind you its £200 less and weighs only 600 grams more.
