Carrera Tanneri cx bike 21.3" Sold

2014/5 model two previous fastidious owners who have covered a total of 350 miles according to the strava records shown .



very clean condition with just some small cable rubs and chips , both down tube Carrera decals have been covered with black sticky back tape as the first owner was ashamed of owning a Carrera but i cant see why this couldn't be peeled off if required .


full std specification apart from a set of narrow guards fitted , Shimano claris 2 x 8 gearing with tektro canti lever braking , std kenda tyres , 2 sets of bottle cage mounts but no cages fitted .



asking £165 for this very clean bike collected from nn8 Wellingborough or could be sent via a 2 - 3 day courier for an extra £30 to most uk post codes .

These make a great commuting or starting out bike or just use it for everything bike .

I sold one of these two weeks ago, if I was still comfy on an upright bike I would still have it , its a brilliant go anywhere bike, as happy on the road as it is on rougher stuff,

Out of curiousity, is the black tape 3M Scotchlite? I have done similar in the past to opt out of branding and improve visibility.

I am not sure what he used , and in all fairness i dont think he could remember

tempted but as its halfords sizing thats probably a 56 toptube, i think the carrera i had the right size was listed as a 19 " ,and it would only be as a replacement for my subway biatch bike.

What size is the frame on this bike and how wide are the rims? i.e how much tyre is in contact with the road? Looking to replace a pinnacle hybrid with something a bit faster

Post above yours says it has a 56cm TT. Probably suit someone around 6ft on that basis

ive sold one the same size recently and I'm 5ft 7 , though I did fit a shorter stem

Came with a 35mm knobbly tyre as standard

If you want to roadie-fy it, could certainly fit a 32mm or possibly a 28mm tyre

@roadrash 5’7 on a 56...weren’t you very stretched out even with shorter stem??

54 cm seat tube , to be honest I never measured the top tube but with 90mm stemm instead of the 120mm it came with ,, it was the most comfy bike I had

in the picture its set for me at 5ft 10" before i flipped the stem so i would say 5ft 8 upwards depending

The frame is marked as a 21.3" or 54.5 from centre of crank to top of seat post outlet and has a standover height of 80cm halfway along the top tube , rim width is aprox 24.6mm outside and the tyres i am sure are 700 x 34's but you could easily fit 28's on it .
