I have a Carrera Tour de France SE that is now surplus to requirements as I have had to give up triathlons (a second hip replacement is due). I bought the frame second hand and built it up to use on my turbo trainer (so since I have owned it, about 5 years, it it has not been on the road). I put an ITM carbon fork on it (really needed a carbon fork on a turbo bike
) it was set up with tribars for winter triathlon training.
It has Dura Ace 9-speed bar end shifters, 105 chainset/rear dérailleur. Tektro brakes, not 100% sure on brake levers.
I have added a behind the seat bottle holder with 2 cages. I think it would be a reasonable bike for a couple of seasons, to get the feel of triathlons or for a junior, without spending a fortune. I am only 5'6"(possibly on tiptoes) so most 12-13 year olds are at least my height!!
Asking price is £100, buyer collects. It currently has "training" wheels fitted, but I have a pair of starter race wheels that could go with them (for another £50).
