Got myself a Carry Freedom (large) trailer at last. Baulked at the retail price and been hanging on for one on eBay. Bagged a good as new one someone didn't want. Not a mark on it and still requiring complete assembly. Quality piece of kit. Now I need to dig out a decent size plastic box to fit the base then local stables and all the manure I wish for is on for next week! Pics to follow.

For this type of thing I bought a 75 litre trug for about a tenner

Then just tie in place and away you go

What's a trug?

A question re the set up in the pic if anyone can help.

One issue i noticed was the tubs sometimes slipping backward/to the side if i went over speed bumps/in potholes. I am considering putting a raised edge along the back and sides to stop this. I am also going to take off the reflectors and fit a boat cleat hanging upside down and then I can fasten and tension some line easily to hold everything firmly. So, the question is - what kind of wood should I use for the edge strips? I was thinking 15 cm long on each edge and 3 cm x 3 cm and attaching them with coach bolts.

Cheers.
