Cassette for trainer

I have just bought the Kickr core smart trainer ,it came with no cassette so I picked up the only 11 speed one local to me and it's a 105 5800 cassette, my bike is ultegra gear , I have put the cassette on the trainer and installed my bike and had to adjust the rear mech but it's still don't sound right
Is the 105 compatible with the ultegra

Same speed cassettes are compatible with lower and higher grade groupsets.

The cheaper 11 speed can be noisy, buy a CS6800 Ultegra one . I had to swap out the one that came on my new Kickr last week

Just using the free zwift for the first 25km will then look around.

Zwift is the most popular, and it's good if not specifically wanting a workout - i.e. just ride as you don't get too bored. Factor in some fans - I have two and I'm in the garage.

If I had disposable I would get this. It is ‘smart’ so it speeds up as you pedal faster or your HR increases. And quiet too. I NEED one, but can’t afford it.

Just ordered the Headwind fan ,did 10 miles on Zwift this morning and was dripping wet had to get off as over heating

Your wife is happy with you having a bike, a trainer and a set of weights in the front room but would draw the line at a fan?

Seriously, don't skimp of the fan, I have 3 on when I Zwift and that's just about right

She is not happy at all ,but with her having MS she hasn't the strength to chuck them in the garden but I have to draw the line somewhere

Get the biggest fan you can. It will move more air while being quieter due to the bigger blades moving slower.
