Castle Eden Walkway query

We are visiting family at Shotton Colliery this weekend and I'm going to get dropped off and cycle part of the journey. One possible route would take the Castle Eden Walkway from Thorpe Thewles to Shotton. Does anybody know the condition of it at the moment please?

we did the Thorpe Thewles to the millennium bridge part 2 weeks ago was fine then... it has a very sold base, there was the odd muddy puddle. I have ridden it often in the winter time with no probs at all, it was last year when we rode from the station (great tea and cake) to Hartlepool we missed the turn and ended almost in shotton https://www.strava.com/activities/675977580

I rode it from Shotton Colliery down to Hartlepool and then from Thorpe Thewles back up to Shotton Colliery on a ride to Redcar and back yesterday. It was exactly as you said ;-))
