Is it wrong to feel more upset about the loss of a beloved cat than one's own sibling - ?
I'm going to my sister's funeral today and am not feeling that upset about her death, but last week when we had to have my best feline friend put to sleep because of terminal cancer which had accelerated viciously into her brain & optic nerves her last couple of days and she was at the end, I was absolutely distraught.![]()
Nope, not only the death of a pet but also a loss. Our indoor cat (Moses) decided he wanted to mooch off out behind my back. 2 days before I was to ride LEL. I was distraught and wouldn't have ridden if I hadn't had found him, luckily we did 12 hours later, cowering in a neighbour shed.
Before Moses we had Dave, it was so very, very tough having to put him to sleep due to old age and arthritis, he was such a wonderful, loving cat.
