Our next door but one neighbour got a ginger 'female' kitten last year. Daughter is mid 20's and soon lost interest once it wasn't a kitten 9which is a short time). The cat was really friendly at first and would play with ours (it on the outside of our catio), but because they haven't really bothered with it, it lives outside now - they have even had to buy a shelter for it as it won't come in. It's also less friendly these days. To top it off, they now have a dog.

A week to go before our feral cats get released from their holding pen. The male is certainly becoming more used to us, staying out of hiding when food is being put out. When after dinner Dreamies go out he’s got close to taking them from our hands though not quite, yet. The female is still not as brave.

There's been a cat coming into my conservatory for a number of weeks and spending the day there, as it's open during the summer when I'm at home. It can sometimes be fine and at other times very aggressive. It's also got an issue with it's skin/fur and keeps coming into the house, probably because it used to sneak in - along with other cats - and steal food when we had cat/s here.

I've tried a couple of paper collars and they're removed but nothing else, so today I've stuck a "whose cat is this?" message on the local Facebook group.

Looks like flea allergy to me.

It's aggressive and unpredictable; i.e. it'll come and purr one moment, attack you the next.

That is unusual for a tabby, but a lot depends how it's been treated previously and what other animals are about 'at home'.
Many cats will come around in time and if we had space, we'd take on the challenge.

Well the feral cats are now free from their holding pen. Fed them this morning and then took the door off. The male waited almost an hour before venturing out. The female left after about 15 minutes and came back a couple of times almost as if to encourage the male out too.

Last saw them around 9am but still early days.

We currently have a visiting 12 year old un neutered male cat visiting.
Dark brown, apparently he lives not too far away but at home, is treated simlpy as 'an existence' rather than being appreciated.
He's always hungry, so we feed him every time he turns up and interestingly, our neutered ginger lad was attacking him and said cat was scared of him. However, our ginger lad has now laid off and lets him around without any fuss which is a good thing.
It's pretty obvious Marcel as he's called doesn't like being at home, so we're planning on trapping him, get him neutered, health checked and the possibility that we may adopt him or get him rehomed depending entirely on whether our lot accept him.

We had a black and white entire male move in, he was a right scrapper but never went at our cats, kept the other 'Tomcats' away though.
