This climb is one of the toughest climbs within the area i live and as yet i have not attempted it at my current weight of 17st.

Using this table
The minimum percent grade must be 3% or higher.
Cat 4 >= 8000,
Cat 3 >= 16000,
Cat 2 >= 32000,
Cat 1 >= 64000,
HC >= 80000.
Therefore a cat 2.

It does seem the easiest way is just times the height gained in metres by 100, somehow seems to work
