Cateye Computer Magnet Broken off

I have a Cateye Micro Wireless (CC MW100) and the spoke magnet bracket has sheared, since it is made from plastic. I've cobbled it for the moment, but it's not going to last. My el-cheapo Argos computer has a magnet with a steel screw attaching-thing so is much stronger.

Q - Can I use any magnet with the Cat Eye Computer or must I buy a specific replacement (and probably have it break again later ?)

Anyone got any thoughts ?

I would of thought that you could use any, try it and see. Or I think you can get another Cateye one for a few quid.

Any old spoke magnet will do - non of my computors are using the magnet that came with them

Any magnet will work, it just needs to close the little reed switch in the sensor.
