the part of the bar my bracket is attached to is oversized and not round but more oval shaped, and i think that might be why i'm not having an issue as others have described.
Cateye light brackets!!!

I have a set of Cateye lights. The one on the rear comes with the bar clip and what can only be described as a belt clip, I used the belt clip one on my carrying bag fixed to the rear seat but it is useless as the light just works its way loose, the bar clip which I fix to the seat stem is much better and has stayed on. Maybe the belt clip one has a design fault.
They came as a kit it was the HL-EL135 front and TL-LD150 rear.

What is it with Cateye? Good lights, crap brackets. I've tried them from time to time since the early 90s and it always seems to be the same... Is cycle light bracket design really such a significant engineering challenge?
