That's sad. But, best thing. We had a dog that had a mouth tumour - two minor ops to remove, but it suddenly got very big.... not much you can do other than stop her/him suffering - cat's don't show pain.....they have a high tolerance.

Thank you very much for all your kind words. They do mean a lot to me and that matters so much.

I spent the afternoon at college, while teaching in the workshops, making a small box for her ashes. I owe her a hand made box rather then an off the shelf one I think.
