I have just seen a cat cross a road on a zebra crossing, how clever is that?
Might have been sheer fluke of course, but was funny as a fire engine had just stopped to let a few people cross and this cat just ran right out and across the crossing

The cat has developed a new thing over the last couple of weeks. Kids go to bed and disturb the beast. It then wanders in to where we are sat watching the tv wanting attention - it likes chasing the light from a laser pointer. It's discovered it can get the attention by stretching up the wallpaper with claws out in a 'now or else' type manner.
It has well trained the people it lives with.

Ok status yesterday was about the cat not eating his food! Scenario: He's meowing for it sitting at the storage cupboard. I gets it out gives him some, then the cheeky b***er walks away with a, "I don't want that give me something better" attitude.
Last night I'm sat watching telly doing some embroidery with cottons and patterns all along the couch, he wanted to be on my lap. I pointed at hime and said "no" talked to him like a silly old woman trying to explain, "you can't get up! can't you see I have cottons and needles all over the place"...He jumped up and bit me, not satisfied as he started to walk away he came back and did the boxing bit flapping his paws at my legs.
I tell you he keeps this up he's off to the vet!
In all seriousness...if he's not eating his food it could mean he's feeling a bit sick, or that his gums or teeth are hurting him.

Or, he's just being a cat!

Our cat used to refuse food, and then when he was really hungry and grumpy would nip us, it turned out he needed some teeth out. He still nips us when he wants attention though!

Having enjoyed the benefits of a real fire all winter, ours now "looks" for the fire if it's not lit - he stands on the grate and then climbs up the chimney
