I won't be there, have to follow the OH round on a long run with drinks snack etc - at least I don't have to run it!

Did everyone get back all right? I got in and slept straight through till this morning . Sorry about my phone breaking if anyone tried to send a text before the start. I'll write a few things with some photos later. There's only a few though as the peak district was covered in a massive haze that made photography different. I worked out the ride we actually did was 41 miles before we said goodbye to Longers and Alun.

Thanks for arranging the ride Marinyork - it was a good one! I think that was the longest I've done this year, and the headwinds made it feel further!

Nice report by longers in the CC jersey handover Journal- what lovely scenery you guys deal with...beats the tumbleweed flavour crisp packets and barbeque cars down South...

We went past two ends of the same valley with great views - Monsale Dale and Millar's Dale . A bit hazy for too much photography. Bokonen certainly did well on the descent on the fixed!
