its not the cycling, I just have a lot to cram into the weekend when I am up the road, as I am back late Friday, and away early Monday for the full week again. Edinburgh and back in any form gives up most of my day Saturday.

Just pull a sickie next week, do the ride Saturday and stay in bed rest of the week - sorted.

Sorry guys and specifically our host and hostess but I'm going to be a no show.

I'm trading my car this weekend and just have too much to do.

Hope you have a great time. Sorry I'm not meeting those I haven't met before (as well as those I have), especially now I have a CC jersey.

Next time!

That's a shame! Thanks for letting me know , so we can estimate whether we need to borrow any chairs from the neighbours!

Saturday looks like I'll have a good tail wind all the way from Alloa, am going to be heading over the the same way we used for the POP ride it's going to be dry and I think I will sit on the fifers wheels for the ride home

I was severely demotivated a few years ago, was thinking about giving up cycling outright, someone on the old cp forum said something that I'll never forget, and I think it's relevant to the discussion...

Wise words my eloquent friend.

@Telemark @Scoosh is there an easy way to get from Broughton Street up to Commy Pool without going via the Bridges? So the route I know into town is Silverknowes, Ferry Road Cycle path then turn right up to Tescos at Broughton Street - then up the hill onto Leith Street. Any rat runs/quieter routes??

Why not take the route to the Meadows we used for POP? Nice and quiet except for the stupid lights at the King's Theatre.
