This was a route that we did last October (click here for the old thread) and I remember it being pretty good. I've created a Garmin Connect profile of the ride so that you can easily edit it or transfer to your Garmin device.

  • The Ride: From Glasgow through Houston, Langbank, Kilmacolm, Lochwinnoch and back.
  • Meeting Point: XScape centre at Braehead, starting at 10:30 am. Approx. 5 miles from Glasgow Central.
  • The Route: Something close to this - 65 km / 40 miles
  • Terrain: No big hills, but there are a number of short, steepish climbs. But do not worry, and remember the rules below.
  • Time: About 3.5-4 hrs, depending on stops.
  • Stops: Cake stop option in Lochwinnoch (approx 25 miles in).

The three key rules of CC Ecosse rides:
NO ONE gets left behind! :bicycle:
ANY bike will do! :pump:
There WILL be cake! :hungry:

The date isn't set in stone, that was just the first weekend that I thought of. Are you both available any other dates?

Anytime after the weekend of the 5th October, that isn't the Langholm weekend

I'm free whenever so if anyone else is interested, we could sort out a date.

Without a clever title
Great ride, wrong date. I'll be 9 timezones away.

I could probably do any weekend day in October except the 5th and 26th.
