Take care, Uncle Phil.
Good to hear that the Press seem to have done a 'Mark Twain' on you: relieved that the reports of your demise have been 'greatly exaggerated'....
From your description of yourself, I reckon you'll make out fine in a week or two. Your state of health sounds very similar to mine after I had my own 'off' about four years ago
(reported at length on t'interweb, naturally, but not on this forum alas! on two other forums neither of which is now functional...).
Then, I was 'out' for about 15 minutes and suffered total amnesia of the ten minutes or so
before the 'off' as well as the time I was unconscious. That memory has never come back. You may have to prepare yourself, likewise, for a permanent loss of memory of the circumstances around your accident. My experience was different, however, in that there were no witnesses at the time and I don't think any other vehicle was involved. I didn't break any bones but I lost several teeth, severely lacerated my face, broke my nose and sprained a leg. But it was all put together again! And I'm quite a few years older than you.
I'm setting this down because I hope a shared experience will help you on your way to recovery. Best of luck!
Shame about the bike, expecially an unique classic like the Moulton. But a bike is a bike, and there are other bikes. A human life is vastly different.
