Rail links to London are excellent, so worth a trip/beer/B&B to all you people 'sarf of Luton'

It's cheaper than London too, so you would actually SAVE MONEY by coming up here?

I'm off work from 1st to the 4th, I have a feeling I'll be drunk on the 1st soon as I have had some sleep from working New Years Eve, seriously hungover on the 2nd, so that should leave me the 3rd and the 4th free pondering if I should ever drink again.

With being away over Xmas, not got to see this thread till today.

Are you going to do a tour of the UK, with some more locations, to tell us all about your grand tour in person?
You could cycle between places, in case you are suffering withdrawal symptoms

Unfortunately (well, not for me), I'm off again to see a friend over New Year, and back at work on Monday....

If it got pushed over a bit into the new year, I'd certainly be up for it!

Very tempting! Actually, Spandex and I met up with a couple of the Edinburgh CC posse when we toured Scotland last summer.

That would have been HJ and HLaB, unfortunately I was busy that evening.
Please DO be tempted ... the CC Ecosse hoards normally turn up in droves from all over the place, if promised entertainment and/or feeding (and some of them ARE very good value entertainment, all by themselves ).
