For idle curiosity, i just looked at the Hive heating graph for today..
Stat is set at 16c, last night I had the bedroom window ajar all night and note the heating switched on at 2am for a short burst then again at 6am.
Stat still at 16c but as its been lovely and sunny today, actual house temps rose to 19.5...yay.

Have taken the plunge and turned off any heating today, as I was down to one jumper and shorts. Still 15C indoors at 10pm, so think I might be OK now. That'll be under four months of heating, so will be happy with that.

Incidentally, I stayed four nights in a Travelodge last week where the heating was programmed to 20C, and I hated it enough that I turned it off completely overnight.

When it drops to 20 Celsius in my flat, usually due to me having left my windows open before I went out for the afternoon, I immediately put the heating on! To me, 20 Celsius/67 Fahrenheit is uncomfortably too cold!🫤

Max our heating is ever on is 18 degrees C

I can't stand being cold. As I post my thermometer shows

which isn't warm enough for me! 🙄

Just back from a ride, slumped in the chair with two fans pointing at me on full blast, still sweating.
Weather chart says the 'feels like' temp here right now at 09:30am is 93 degrees F.
Will be heading to Blighty tomorrow for a couple of months - some respite from this energy sapping heat and humidity.
