Chain cleaning

Hi there

I thought I had cleaned my chain properly after cycling a few weeks ago but noticed that its gone all rusty. What is the best way to bring it back to life?!

If very rusty then remove, soak in vinegar over night, clean with white spirit, rag wipe, re-lube with chain oil and keep out if the rain.

If it's rusty, cleaning's not the issue (other than having done it properly and stripped all the oil off); subsequent lubrication is. Appreciate it's not aesthetically great, but if you're not bothered just oil it and crack on. Unless you want to turn to the dark side and wax it, of course

Just use the bike ,it's probably surface rust .

A type of black magic that's worked very well for me in the past when dealing with "very" rusty chains. If it's not very rusty the OP should just oil, use and ideally dry store.
