Is the KMC X9 73 chain interchangeable with the Shimano HG73 9 Speed chain?

And KMC chains are far better then Shimano chains imo.

So I've bought one of each to fit my road bike (derailleur) and my hybrid (hub gears). If the KMC is better quality I guess it makes sense to fit it to the road bike? (yes they do strangely have the same size chain).
