Challenge/ride tracking

Along with a friend we will be setting off on a LEJOG at the end of this month And my family and friends want to know where I am.

On previous motorcycle trips I have used Polarsteps and I may well just use it again. i just saw Amy & Kyle Hudson are using something from followmychallenge.com which is a live tracker.

I wear an apple watch and use a Garmin 1030 +. what other options are there out there ?

If you've got a Garmin head unit, then download the Garmin Connect app to your phone and then you can set it so that it starts their LiveTrack option when you start recording a ride. It'll e-mail a link to whatever contacts you tell it to and that will direct them to a webpage where they can follow your progress. You don't have to enable it for every ride, just the ones you choose to.

For the duration of your trip you could add them to find my iPhone (or Android equivalent). Then they can take a look when they fancy eithout disturbing you. Then remove them when trip finishes.

Otherwise add them to your Garmin contacts on website or app. Then they can look at your activities at the end of each day, and see where you went and all the other stats.
