I don’t like my record rear brake as you need to use a 15 wrench to centre it.
Shimano you can do by hand. Also been single pivot you lose some braking power to save about 2 grams.
Is there a duel pivot version I can buy to swap over with?
Thanks.

I'd suggest different pads.

I always centre single and dual pivot shimano with a cone spanner. Works great. But I only rarely need to adjust it. If you need to do it often, check the brake caliper.

Never had any issue with braking power for single pivot.

Campag pads are fine. I’d just rather have duel pivot.

Campag don't do the rear in dual because it's not needed. You'll just lock up. You won't stop quicker as the front does the braking.

Pad compound makes a difference as does some rims. I've found some alloy rims have bad brake performance with certain pads.

I'm running 35 year old Shimano 600 and Dura Ace brakes and they stop on a sixpence. I'll lock the back up easily. These are single pivot.

I totally agree. The braking is still sublime. It’s just I don’t want to use a spanner to centre. If they move miles from home I’d have to wind them out. I have every size spanner in the garage but can’t find a true 15 so will have to buy one.
I’m sure Campag super Record rears are duel pivots.

Practically any modernish short-reach rear calliper brake would work- the only variables at play these days are the axle length (longer for front) and the drop (distance to brake pads). Nonetheless, I can't imagine trying to buy one new brake calliper in the modern disk era, unless you camp out on eBay, etc, for something specific.

It's a peculiar demand though. Single-pivot brakes have always drifted out of centre, to no cost to the rider. There's no drag from the pad that barely touches the rim. I'd ignore it till you get home. As Fossyant said, tweak it with a cone spanner occasionally.

At least a single-pivot brake will track a wheel with a broken spoke without binding, if some benefits might help.

Mine have never moved and I'm talking 35 years use of using single pivot. You are over thinking it. I even used the spanner on dual pivot as the adjuster screw was crap.

At worse, you could always thump it. Never have I needed to adjust mine.

A true 15mm spanner, you use a cone spanner as you need it to be thin, especially those of us with front single pivot and an old fashioned external headset

I’m excited about my new park tool cone spanner arriving. Using a big bad fit one was the problem after all 😁✌️
