Any advice for a decent pair of cutters on a budget? I am also going to try and attempt to replace my break cables. Are changing gear cables just as easy as mine could do with replacing?

(Sorry for the thread hi-jack....seemed silly to start another!)

I have had some of these for a couple of years and they do a good job. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HARDENED-..._Cycling_Tools_RepairKits&hash=item3a793d7d89

Any decent pair of wire cutters [or pliers with a cutting part] will do. Hold them upto the light and look for ANY light coming between the blades, if so reject and find another set.

My leatherman is a good cable cutter, much better than the cable cutters I've got!

It's got replaceable cutter blades too, just in case I get a bit ambitious and try to cut a 6" nail in half
