Sounds a great ride. Presumably the route is through south Wales crossing at Pembroke or Fishguard. How many days will it take you? Good luck.

Are you ferrying across at Holyhead? Take the Seacat if so, it's faster than the regular ferry and less sick inducing.

It's not really good luck that you need - it's some miles and some ! (that's the 'training' smiley, btw )

Have a look in the Health, Fitness and Training (there's a wee clue) section and search for threads dealing with people doing a first sportive/ charity ride/ longer-than-I've-ever-ridden-before-ride and read up about some simple training rides and routines.

Make sure you tell us how you're getting on - and how it goes !
