Cheating at scrabble

I was invited to play Scrabble whilst on a winter holiday at the home of a relative some 15 years ago. The game was taking ages and becoming quite tedious mainly due to the amount of thinking time required by the partner of my cousin and I felt it might speed things up a trifle if I brought this matter to his attention. He responded by expressing a need to go to bed early and did not reappear for the week that was left of my holiday.

Don't know if this is as bad but I always cheat at Monopoly. The wife refuses to play me anymore.
