Cheeky Vimto.

Discussion in 'CycleChat Cafe' started by Rhythm Thief, 30 May 2008.

  1. I am currently drinking WKD blue mixed with a little port, having got the idea from Radcliffe and Maconie's Radio 2 show. I have to say it's quite nice - almost exactly like Vimto but extremely alcoholic.
Anyone got any other odd concoctions they drink?

Oh god yeah....i've been drinking them things for years. Bloody lovely they are especialy when the larger has bloated you up.

Another good one is Smirnoff ice, blue wicked and a double vodka, all in a pint glass.

Or....Blue wicked and Castaway.....also known as Blastaway.

Best long drink ive tasted in a while is ..Bison Grass vodka, apple juice and a sprig of mint.

Not so odd, but a popular mix in Spain (amongst other places) is 50-50 red wine and lemonade with a generous splash of vermouth and some ice! Luvvly!

I was in Dublin this last week and visited the Guinness Storehouse.

At the age of 41 I had my first ever pint of Guinness... Oh dear, I enjoyed it far too much for the good of my waistline, my only hope is that the stuff over here is not anywhere as good as the pint I sampled at source.

I visited the Guinness brewery in 1985. A quick half hour tour of the, er, brewery and then to the bar.
Five hours and 14 pints later I left (I think).

    Weston's Oak Aged Vintage Cider x 1
Shot of Blue Curacao x 1
= one pint of Drain Cleaner

I specialised in cider based cocktails while I was at college.

    1 x Red K cider
1 x Gold Label barley wine
    1 x tequila
    = a pint of Death

There was also the Red Witch. Cider + lager + Pernod + blackcurrant.

Oddly enough I failed to graduate...
