never gone that low age wise, i think u14 was the youngest i ever did. only two problems with reffing kids rugby; the testosterone overflowing on the pitch, and the idiot parents who have forgotten the little they knew about rugby on the touchlines and whose primary source of info on the laws is jiffy and eddie butler, stuart barnes et all off the telly.

in fact the only worse thing ime is the coaches of women's university1st xv rugby. oh yeah, and other refs.

i do miss it, especially the uni or independent school games of a wednesday afternoon, and the u18s/colts on sundays, but nowhere near as much as i thought i would when i packed it in.

On our first visit to the Premiership, we had one of the refs (Steve Lander iirc) moan to a national newspaper that he had to come up to our little ground, and that little clubs like Rotherham shouldn't be allowed in the Premiership during the week before he refereed one of our matches.
