If it result in a situation where poeple finally leave the car for small trips and start cycling, i think the benefits in cost savings on healthcare far outweigh the price tag.

I totally agree. I meant that I hoped the organisation would be allowed to do as it aims and not get scrapped after a couple of years when the political focus is on something else.

I commute to work on the bike 15-20 mins there 15-20 mins back 5 days a week...not being eco about it ,not bragging its the most sensible way to do it ...
