It was all in good fun, and I sensed all participants were playfully using it as an opportunity to show their affection for the quiet blues-rock icon, but as the thread author I just felt it respectful to leave it at that.
I dont think a single one of the participants ever doubted Rea's talent or had anything but the utmost respect for the way he quietly eschewed the limelight and just got on quietly with life while doing what he loved. Many of us would be so lucky to so successfully navigate our existence in such a quietly dignified manner.
