This is a reference to one of the funniest stories ever told.
And good on Chris to play along with it.

A family in Middlesborough requesting help to bring home a vintage car from Bridgwater Services M5.
I'm not sure what it says about me that when I read the news about Chris Rea's death, the first thing I thought about was this forum...
Found out today that he wrote the song Saudade as a tribute to Ayrton Senna. I remember the song being played over the end credits of the Senna tribute programme that the BBC did towards the end of 1994. Steve Rider presented it. I never knew that Chris Rea wrote it or that it was written specifically about Senna. I just thought it was a Brazilian/Portuguese song that the BBC had chosen because it was appropriate.
Am I alone in thinking that after a suitably respectful period, the Chris Rea thread might usefully be brought back up again to meander its eccentric way in ongoing tribute to its subject?
I sense you weren't overkeen on the thread in the first place.Perhaps you are? The guys dead, so should the thread.
As a mark of respect, let's not dig it up again.
Chris Rea may have heard all those slanderous rumours about him and his time travel machines, maybe he did, coz he sure had the right to take great umbrage against us all , and sue this forum into the bargain.

I'm intrigued to find out how such doggerel could have caused Rea either a moment's upset, or indeed financial harm.
You are Chris Rea's solicitor AICMFP!
