We're going to a restaurant this year so I'll be having turkey. I love turkey. We're getting either a four or five bird roast (both if I have my way) and some gammon that's Boxing Day and New Year sorted. I've already bought the cognac (and opened it!) and there's a nearly full bottle of Famous Grouse left (I'd rather have a single malt and may get one tomorrow) so that's me sorted. There's Bacardi for my OH and she'll buy some beers to drink. Christmas sorted!

For a change we are having a house full this year, so it will be Turkey and the full works. New Years Eve is when we will have our usual type of festive meal. I have wood pigeon, a whole crab, and a beef fillet in the freezer, so something rather more fancy will be produced from them.

We'll be on Turkey. As Mrs Dave is such an ace cook I don't do much of the cooking, though it is tradition that I make a cranberry stuffing and an apricot stuffing, the most important ingredient in both is cornflakes.

I get to do all the difficult washing up, but I quite like it...!
