MrsJOAB started the Christmas food shop today, a couple of jars of pickles and pickled shallots

My sister left me these last Wednesday...and I have consumed same.

As they were deep mince pies, I was able to have an interesting conversation with each one before biting...they were dis custard.

I still have a Christmas pudding from two years ago, and am waiting for an opportunity to eat it.

The misses and her kids don't like them (I bought one the Christmas before and they only managed a polite tea spoon's worth) and HAD to eat it ALL myself. Don't really want to do that again (unless I have to) as it's tons of calories.

Naturally I'll have to have cream, custard and brandy/rum butter with it.

Can't wait, to be honest!

We move in to our new house this Tuesday (hopefully!).

I'd better start getting the Xmas lights strung up on the roof at the weekend. The neighbours will be pleased!
