I will pop in and see what is happening for a while, being in China and away from the family is not so good but if the weather remains good a nice ride on the bike is also on the menu!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I shall be here all day.
I'll be at work. (Hopefully not looking up at oil rigs)
Company paying me and for the satellite connection. The ships cook will be doing lunch. I shall be doing the minimum to keep the boat running.

Just trying to convince myself not being with wife and kids isn't so bad.

Piemaster sorry to hear you're away from home for Xmas - hope it goes quickly and that you get to celebrate later.

I'm undecided too, depends if I have a bit of time- check out my join date...says it all really!

For the first time in years, I'm planning an internetless Christmas. Usually I stay at home and my mum is at work until 2 so I'm bored all morning until she gets back and we do presents and dinner, but this year I'm staying at my boyfriend's and we're going to have a morning all to ourselves. Then I'll be back home for 2, in time for presents and dinner. Best of both worlds, I'm really looking forward to it.

I won't be on here after today until the new year so I wish everyone a Happy Christmas and peaceful, healthy 2011.

I'll pop in, if there's a party going.

I'll bring the booze - 20 cans of cheap lager, 15 bottles of wheat beer, 15 bottles of dark stout, large bottle of babycham, bottle each of vodka, whiskey and rum, 4 bottles each of red/white, bottle of champagne. Loads of ice, coke, limes, and tomato. Think that covers it. Will need a whip-round though. £100? May have to drink out of mugs, though.

I'll bring the crisps, nuts, mince pies and shortbread. I think you will find plenty of mugs in P & L.

The P&L lot might not be as 'mug-ish' as they would have one believe.

I posted a thread about someone spending £3000 of their dole money on presents, and hardly anyone batted an eye.....?

Thanks for the sympathy, never a good time to be away from my family.
Actually I worked that same Christmas too. Has worked out that I've worked alternate xmas for the last few years.
