Felixstowe Morrisons had the Quality Street/ Celebrations/Roses tubs out on sale on Wednesday if that counts. Don't know if they were Ch****mas themed or not.

Both the Tesco in Ely and the Co-op in Littleport have them in.

I suspect the supermarkets operate on the premise that people will buy those big tubs early in order to get ahead, but that they will then become victims of unscheduled snaccidents, which means that further purchases will be necessary.

Aren't most advent calendars deliberately disappointing by their very nature? 24 tiny non-descript "chocolate flavoured" sweets that totals up to less than a large chocolate bar, but at 10 times the cost of one?
I had a herbal tea (Teapigs or something like that) one once. Some were quite nice, but others were utterly horrific! xx(
I had a friend who once bought an advent calendar for his dog and he said he couldn't tell the difference between the dog-friendly "chocolate" and the stuff that came in his calendar.
It's safe for dogs though.
I once tried a dog's easter egg and all it tasted of was mint. 🤔
We have a couple of all year christmas shops not far from me in Denmark. You come outside into 26 degrees and blinding sun. Its a bit weird.
Not if you were in the southern hemisphere though. :giggle:
All perfectly sane and balanced then?
Probably getting rid of last year's leftovers before getting new ones in.
"Best before dates? What best before dates?" 🤣

Leicester Morrisons had selection boxes or advent calendars (can't remember which) on Friday. They also had Cadbury chocolate Xmas pudding.

August, it's bloody mental

Nestle made Quality Street "seasonal" years ago, Rowntree Mackintosh/Rowntree's kept them on sale all year. Nestle made them seasonal, and sales declined, they're now trying to up the sales.

See, mince pies are like Kryptonite to me. Any weightcI manage to shift during the year goes back on thanks to minde pies. Why, damn you, why?! 😭

'Down the Curling Club, we always have a celebration on our final night before Christmas.

One year, a senior member bought our Mince Pies and proceeded to present them for us to eat.

*Cue a bit of consternation*

It turns out he'd only bought them in a rush and hadn't looked to see what they were.

They were raw meat and needed cooking. Not 'Mincemeat' at all!

Even more amusingly was that one guy, a big sheep farmer had already downed several before we realised! 🤣
