Felixstowe Morrisons had the Quality Street/ Celebrations/Roses tubs out on sale on Wednesday if that counts. Don't know if they were Ch****mas themed or not.

I thought those were all year round in the larger supermarkets. And they were certainly still on sale even in the local Tesco Express for several months after Christmas.

Whoops, I *may* have bought some Belgian chocolate-covered nuts in Tesco this evening.

In my defence, they *were* bought on yellow sticker...

If they are on yellow sticker now, then they can't possibly be Christmas stuff, as the use by or best before date will be in the next few days.

Can't think of anywhere that sells fruited buns *without* the cross on anymore. I know Waitrose used to...

Tesco still do - sold as teacakes, either Braces or Warburtons. We buy those quite frequently (usually the Warburtons ones).

With the hot cross buns on the shelf above them.

Quality Street were made seasonal by Nestle, who in the last two years have been trying to recapture their share of a former market by making them available all year round.

Nope. Teacakes are totally different in flavour and texture. They're lighter and woollier than the sticky fruited buns, and have far less fruit in them. And no spices. Totally different dough as well, if like me, you sometimes bake them from scratch.
